GriefShare - JoAnne’s Story

When We Gather

Participants often comment that they look forward to these meetings, as if it was their second family who understands the mix of emotions they are experiencing. Be prompt, but don't miss a week even if you are running late.

GriefShare is an important outreach to the community. It is based upon the Bible and the Trinity; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The participants come from all walks of life and from many different religious backgrounds. We do not discuss religious doctrine nor politics. We focus on the ways faith in God can help heal and deal with each person's personal loss.

GriefShare Meetings

GriefShare meetings include a video seminar and group discussion. A GriefShare workbook assists you with note-taking and journaling. The videos feature experts on grief recovery and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours. After the video, there’s discussion time to help process what you’ve heard.

Anyone can join the GriefShare series even after the first session; all videos and discussion topics stand on their own merit, where you do not need to have viewed the prior material to find benefit from that week's video & discussion. There is a personal workbook (over 100 pages) that will help you heal faster when you use this tool. To cover our costs, we ask for a $15 donation for the workbook.

Weekly Session Topics

These seminars are for anyone: both church members and even those who don’t have a relationship with Jesus. Each week your group will watch a video seminar on DVD.
